Coronavirus: loss of sense of smell or taste could be a symptom of Covid-19

Ear, nose and throat medical specialists say anosmia, a loss of the sense of smell, as well as dysgeusia, an inability to taste things, are being reported as symptoms by patients diagnosed with Covid-19. Scientists in the US and UK each released statements on March 21, 2020, mentioning the growing evidence pointing to the new symptoms and proposing that they be added to a list of screening tools for possible coronavirus infections.
