Indonesian villagers attempt to lure stranded blue whale back to deeper waters

Villagers in Wawiyai attempted to lure a stranded blue whale back towards deeper waters on March 19.

The whale, around 12-metres-long, was found struggling in the Gulf of Byawar by local residents who then attempted to lure the whale back to its natural waters.

The government are expected to help the villagers' efforts in rescuing the stranded whale.
