When the second wave of Covid-19 swept through Malaysia in March 2020, the Federal Government imposed a movement control order in an effort to stem the spread of the disease. Details were rather sketchy at first the government only explained more about the order in batches in the days following the announcement of the order. This delay gave room to fake news.

There was obvious confusion in the haze so to set some things straight, here are seven things you need to know about the movement control order, sometimes referred to as the MCO.
