Cameroon's streets still crowded after anti-coronavirus measures

To protect against the coronavirus, gatherings of more than 50 people have been outlawed by Cameroon's government and restaurants and bars ordered closed after 6pm. Despite this the streets and buses of the country's economic capital Doula are heaving -- putting locals at risk of infection.

"The government must take tough action against stubborn people," says local shopkeeper Olivier Ndogmo, who adds he is following warnings to spend as little time as possible in public spaces.

The company 'Biopharma' located in the city has switched from making cosmetic products to making sanitizer gel to help confront the virus. A city hospital is also testing people with symptoms for covid-19.
