Venice canal water appears clearer as coronavirus keeps tourists away

Footage filmed on March 10 in Venice shows the positive impact of decreased tourism on the city's usually murky canals, as the country grapples with coronavirus lockdown.

The filmer, Marco Capovilla, told Newsflare: "That it is important to take care of our waters. It all starts from our habits, from the products we use to wash the house to those for personal hygiene because everything, sooner or later, ended up in the water. It's up to us to choose the right things."
