Several women troops have been deployed inside jungles in Maharashtra’s Gadchiroli district. They have been deployed to undertake active and prolonged operations against naxals in Gadchiroli. SP Shailesh Balakwade says, 'We have 30% reservation for women, we have deployed women in internal posts. They do long and short range patrolling and operations.

महाराष्ट्र के नक्सल प्रभावित गढ़चिरौली इलाके की चौकियों पर महिला पुलिस की टुकड़ियों को तैनात किया गया है। जहां महिला पुलिसकर्मी नक्सलियों का काल बनकर घूमती हैं. ये महिला पुलिसकर्मी रात को पेट्रोलिंग भी करती हैं और छोड़े बड़े ऑपरेशनों को भी अंजाम देती है. ये महिलाएं इतनी तेज हैं कि किसी भी पुरुष पुलिसकर्मी को भी प्रेरणा मिल सके। महिला पुलिस कर्मियों का कहना है कि नक्सल इलाके में चुनौती जरूर है, लेकिन हमारे जब्बे से बड़ी नहीं है.
