This is the remarkable moment a kayaker in Hawaii had a very close encounter with a baby humpback whale.

Natalie Brown Norberg and Ella Annaheim set off from Olowalu on the island of Maui on February 12th and came across a small pod of whales which surfaced close to their kayaks.

When Brown Norberg put her camera under the water, she was amazed to discover a baby directly beneath her.

"Listen closely to hear their beautiful whale song," said Brown Norberg.
