Before the Holi, the Modi government has given a blow to around 6 crore employees of the country. Labor Minister Santosh Gangwar announced a cut in EPFO interest rates. For this year i.e. 2019-20, 8.50 percent interest will be given on Employees Provident Fund (EPF). The rate of interest was 8.65 percent in the previous year i.e. in the financial year 2018-19. This decision was taken in a meeting of the Central Board of Trustees.

मोदी सरकार ने होली से पहले देश के करीब 6 करोड़ कर्मचारियों को झटका दिया है. श्रम मंत्री संतोष गंगवार ने ईपीएफओ के ब्याज दरों में कटौती का ऐलान किया. इस साल यानी 2019-20 के लिए कर्मचारी भविष्य निधि (ईपीएफ) पर 8.50 फीसदी ब्याज मिलेगा. पिछले साल यानी वित्तीय वर्ष 2018-19 में ब्याज की दर 8.65 फीसदी थी. ये फैसला केंद्रीय ट्रस्टी बोर्ड की बैठक में लिया गया।
