Shoppers at the Greenhills Shopping Center in San Juan were evacuated after heard gunshots were heard from inside one of the shops on Monday.

A consultancy firm reported that 27 mall employees were “being held by a former security guard” who was laid off from his job.

Police were called to the scene, as well as San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora.

The shopping center is currently under lockdown.
