Graveyard under water as River Severn bursts banks in rural Worcestershire
  • 4 years ago
A churchyard in England is completely submerged in water after the River Severn burst its banks.

The clip, filmed today (February 26), shows the graveyard in the hamlet of Severn Stoke in Worcestershire covered in floodwater and headstones barely visible.

"St. Denys' Church has been completely surrounded by flooding and the graveyard has been swamped with tombstones peaking above the water level," the filmer told Newsflare.

The River Severn is expected to continue to rise until late Wednesday evening.
