This is the accompanying video to the PDF lesson guide on GuitarGnosis. The PDF contains the tablature (with sheet music), picking (upstrokes and downstrokes), AND fingering for every single note that's played. The power tablature is also included.

This lesson shows you two different shapes for a Major arpeggio, and all three inversions. Arpeggios are the 1st, 3rd, and 5th notes out of the tonic that you're basing the music around, so that means we also have 3 'intervals' to work with. This shows you all three, and also how to combine them into some MONSTER licks. This is GREAT to practice your sweep picking with.

Arpeggios are an extremely useful tool whether it be for a blazing shred solo, or a melodic lead passage. However, you don't want to overuse your virtuosic skills because then you'll sound like a midi file. Sounding robotic is something we want to avoid, so please use them sparingly.

As a side note, inversions can really also be called arpeggio 'modes'. Using a scale mode in essence is the same thing as an arpeggio inversion.
