US President Donald Trump arrived in Ahmedabad on Monday. At the airport, Prime Minister Narendra Modi embraced Trump and welcomed him. After this, the two leaders reached the Sabarmati Ashram, doing road shows. Stayed here for about 20 minutes. Trump and Modi put a garland of yarn on Bapu's picture. President and wife Melania walked the spinning wheel and understood Gandhi's three-monkey theory. After this, Trump wrote in the visitor's book- 'My great friend Modi, thank you'. This is Trump's first visit to India as President. Trump is also accompanied by wife Melania, daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared Kushner. Trump is the 7th US President to visit India in the last 61 years. Barack Obama visited India twice.

अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प सोमवार को अहमदाबाद पहुंचे। एयरपोर्ट पर प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने ट्रम्प को गले लगाकर स्वागत किया। इसके बाद दोनों नेता रोड शो करते हुए साबरमती आश्रम पहुंचे। यहां करीब 20 मिनट रुके। ट्रम्प और मोदी ने बापू की तस्वीर पर सूत की माला चढ़ाई। राष्ट्रपति और पत्नी मेलानिया ने चरखा चलाया और गांधी के तीन बंदरों वाली थ्योरी समझी। इसके बाद ट्रम्प ने विजिटर बुक में लिखा- ‘माय ग्रेट फ्रेंड मोदी, थैंक यू।’ ट्रम्प का बतौर राष्ट्रपति यह पहला भारत दौरा है। ट्रम्प के साथ पत्नी मेलानिया, बेटी इवांका और दामाद जैरेड कुशनर भी भारत आए हैं। बीते 61 साल में ट्रम्प भारत आने वाले 7वें अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति हैं। बराक ओबामा दो बार भारत दौरे पर आए थे।
