Genk Star, Paul Onuachu Gives Back to Community, Begins Football Competition | Punch

Paul Onuachu, who plays for Belgian club, Genk and the Super Eagles, over the holidays hosted the first edition of his football competition titled Paul Onuachu Unity Cup.

The competition held at the St Michael Playing Ground, Ojo, Lagos.

The striker said that the competition was a way to give back to his community, which had always encouraged him, saying, “I want to say thank you to everyone who came out here today. I want to thank my coaches.

“This is where I started from and everyone here made me what I am today. Thank you for your support and encouragement. You all believed in me and kept telling me, I can do it, I can do it. Going to my parents, telling them, ‘He’s very good.’

"Everyone, who watched me play here, thank you for the support.

“This is the first edition; by God’s grace, the second and third editions would be better than this.”

The football competition was won by Owibeseb FC.
