NASA astronaut CHRISTINA KOCH REUNITES WITH DOG IN ADORABLE MOMENT
  • 4 years ago
NASA astronaut Christina Koch has shared the adorable moment she was reunited with her loyal dog after spending an entire year onboard the International Space Station (ISS).

The scientist was one half of the world's first-ever all-female spacewalk last October, but it's possible that the groundbreaking moment couldn't compare to when she came back to her family – and her pooch.

In this video, which has gone viral on Twitter, the dog frantically paws at the window having spotted his beloved master outside.

Christina then opens the front door of her home only to be practically bowled over by her dog – wagging her tail so hard it looks as though it might fall off.
“Hi baby girl, hi, hi, hi,” she says laughing but also clearly overwhelmed with emotion as the dog leaps around her in ecstasy.

Beaming, Christina then sits down on the floor while her dog barks and jumps onto her lap.

The astronaut later shared the video of the blissful reunion on Twitter, writing: “Not sure who was more excited. Glad she remembers me after a year!”
Delighted animal lovers said it was one of the best things they had seen all year and the clip has already been liked more than 27,000 times since it was tweeted just hours ago.

Posting love heart and crying emojis, one person wrote: “I demand more videos of astronauts reuniting with their dogs.”

“I am glad I was here the moment this precious tweet was tweeted, thank you humankind to pet such an amazing creature as dogs,” tweeted another fan.
