The process of changing the names of districts is going on in Uttar Pradesh. In Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi Adityanath government has now made preparations to change the name of Basti district. The name of the township is being changed to Vashisht Nagar. For this, the district administration has also sent a report to the Yogi government. District Magistrate Niranjan said that the proposal to change the name of Basti district has been sent to the Board of Revenue and the change of name will cost one crore rupees.

उत्तर प्रदेश में जिलों के नाम बदलने का सिलसिला जारी है. उत्तर प्रदेश में योगी आदित्यनाथ सरकार ने अब बस्ती जिले का नाम बदलने की तैयारी की है. बस्ती का नाम बदल कर वशिष्ठ नगर किया जा रहा है. इसके लिए जिला प्रशासन ने योगी सरकार को एक रिपोर्ट भी भेजी है.. जिलाधिकारी निरंजन ने बताया कि बस्ती जिले का नाम बदलने का प्रस्ताव राजस्व बोर्ड को भेजा गया है और नाम बदलने पर एक करोड़ रुपये का खर्च आएगा.
