Republican Mitt Romney Voted To Convict President Trump On Impeachment Charge Of Abuse Of Power
  • 4 years ago
Prior to the final vote in the impeachment trial of President Trump, Republican Senator Mitt Romney of Utah explained why he would vote to convict on one of the two articles of impeachment, abuse of power. Romney was the sole lawmaker to break from his party and support the president's conviction on the single article, making him the first senator in the history of the United States to vote for the impeachment of a president from the lawmaker's own party.
