Hong Kong to require visitors from mainland China to enter quarantine amid coronavirus outbreak

All visitors entering Hong Kong from mainland China will be required to go into quarantine for 14 days, the city’s chief executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor said on February 5, 2020, as one of the new measures to fend off the coronavirus. Hospital workers in Hong Kong remained on strike for a third day as they pressed the government to close all of the city’s border crossings with mainland China.
