Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the budget in the Lok Sabha on Saturday. Presenting the budget, Nirmala Sitharaman said that the government would sell its stake in LIC. The government holds a 100% stake in LIC. If LIC is listed on the stock market, it will become the highest-value company in the country.

मोदी कैबिनेट में वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण ने शनिवार को लोकसभा में बजट पेश कर दिया। बजट पेश करते हुए निर्मला सीतारमण ने कहा कि सरकार एलआईसी में अपनी हिस्सेदारी को बेचेगी। सरकार एलआईसी में सौ फीसदी हिस्सेदारी रखती है। एलआईसी देश की सबसे बड़ी बीमा संस्थान है। अगर एलआईसी को शेयर बाजार में लिस्टेड किया जाता है तो ये देश की सबसे ज्यादा वैल्यू वाली कंपनी बन जाएगी।
