Budget 2020: Rs 1.7 lakh crore allocated for transport infrastructure, says FM Sitharaman

While presenting Union Budget 2020-21 in Parliament, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced an allocation of Rs 27300 crore for industry and commerce.
She said, “I propose to provide Rs 27,300 crore for development for industry and commerce for year 2020-2.” She further added, “I propose to provide Rs 1.7 lakh crore for transport infrastructure in 2020-21.”
