This video is a one-stop-shop for all information and guidance from WHO regarding the current outbreak of novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) that was first reported from Wuhan, China, on 31 December 2019. The death toll from the coronavirus outbreak has risen to 170, and a confirmed case in Tibet means it has reached every region in mainland China.
Chinese health authorities said there were 7,711 confirmed cases in the country as of 29 January.
Infections have also spread to at least 15 other countries.
The World Health Organization (WHO) are again meeting in Geneva to consider whether the virus should be declared a global health emergency.
Various countries have implemented evacuation and quarantine plans for nationals wanting to return from China, where the outbreak began in the city of Wuhan.
More people have now been infected in China than during the Sars outbreak in the early 2000s, but the death toll remains far lower. Sars, also a coronavirus, caused acute respiratory illness.
कोरोना वायरस (सीओवी) का संबंध वायरस के ऐसे परिवार से है, जिसके संक्रमण से जुकाम से लेकर सांस लेने में तकलीफ जैसी समस्या हो सकती है. इस वायरस को पहले कभी नहीं देखा गया है. इस वायरस का संक्रमण दिसंबर में चीन के वुहान में शुरू हुआ था. डब्लूएचओ के मुताबिक, बुखार, खांसी, सांस लेने में तकलीफ इसके लक्षण हैं. अब तक इस वायरस को फैलने से रोकने वाला कोई टीका नहीं बना है.इसके संक्रमण के फलस्वरूप बुखार, जुकाम, सांस लेने में तकलीफ, नाक बहना और गले में खराश जैसी समस्या उत्पन्न होती हैं. यह वायरस एक व्यक्ति से दूसरे व्यक्ति में फैलता है. इसलिए इसे लेकर बहुत सावधानी बरती जा रही है. यह वायरस दिसंबर में सबसे पहले चीन में पकड़ में आया था. इसके दूसरे देशों में पहुंच जाने की आशंका जताई जा रही है.
चीन में कोरोना वायरस से मरने वालों की संख्या बढ़कर 106 हो गई है. इससे संबंधित निमोनिया के अब तक 4,515 पुष्ट मामले सामने आए हैं.चीन के अलावा, थाइलैंड में सात मामले, जापान में तीन, दक्षिण कोरिया में तीन, अमेरिका में तीन, वियतनाम में दो, सिंगापुर में चार, मलेशिया में तीन, नेपाल में एक, फ्रांस में तीन, ऑस्ट्रेलिया में चार और श्रीलंका में कोरोना वायरस का एक मामला सामने आया है.
