A plane flies over a huge bushfire in Namadgi National Park near Australia's capital city Canberra.

The footage, filmed on January 27 shows the plane flying through the smoke showing the vast fire beneath it.

Official reports say that conditions were expected to worsen throughout the evening as winds pick up. Residents have been advised it is too late to leave the area and must seek shelter immediately.
