A firefight between soldiers and militants has broken out in a village in the north Indian state of Kashmir on January 27.
Reports claim that the encounter took place in the village of Makadpora, Arwani, Anantnag district, and that two militants are believed to be trapped, while one officer is reported to have been wounded.
The area has been cordoned off while searches for the remaining militants are ongoing.
