Supreme Court Chief Justice S. a. Bobde has given an important statement before the general budget. Describing tax evasion as a crime and social injustice, he said that the government imposing more or arbitrary tax on citizens is also an injustice towards society. The Chief Justice also gave examples of tax laws prevailing in the past. The Chief Justice said these things at the program organized on the 79th Foundation Day of the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट के चीफ जस्टिस एस. ए. बोबडे ने आम बजट से पहले अहम बयान दिया है. टैक्स चोरी को अपराध और सामाजिक अन्याय बताते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार द्वारा नागरिकों पर अधिक या मनमाना टैक्स लगाना भी समाज के प्रति अन्याय है. चीफ जस्टिस ने इसके लिए पुराने समय में प्रचलित टैक्स कानूनों का भी उदाहरण दिया. इनकम टैक्स अपीलेट ट्राइब्यूनल के 79वें स्थापना दिवस पर आयोजित कार्यक्रम में चीफ जस्टिस ने ये बातें कहीं।
