#TheColosseum or #Coliseum, also known as #TheFlavianAmphitheatre, is an oval amphitheatre in the centre of the city of #Rome, #Italy built in 70–80 AD. The Colosseum is situated just east of the Roman Forum and It is one of Rome's most popular tourist attractions.

Construction was funded by the opulent spoils taken from the #JewishTemple after the Great Jewish Revolt in 70 AD led to the Siege of Jerusalem.
