The 42nd edition of the Dakar took competitors from the shores of the Red Sea in Jeddah, around the canyons and mountains of the western part of the country, over the dunes of the Empty Quarter and all the way to the Qiddiya Sports and Culture Complex near the capital Riyadh. In the end, American biker Ricky Brabec put an end to Honda's 31-year drought, Carlos Sainz took his third title in his third different car, Casey Currie gave America another reason to celebrate in the SSV race, Ignacio Casale took back the throne in quads and Andrey Karginov extended the victorious streak of the Kamaz trucks.

Car: CARLOS SAINZ / LUCAS CRUZ (BAHRAIN JCW X-RAID TEAM) won the Dakar 2020 in front of NASSER AL-ATTIYAH / MATTHIEU BAUMEL (TOYOTA GAZOO RACING) and STÉPHANE PETERHANSEL / PAULO FIUZA (BAHRAIN JCW X-RAID TEAM).

Bike: RICKY BRABEC (MONSTER ENERGY HONDA TEAM 2020) won the Dakar 2020 in front of PABLO QUINTANILLA (ROCKSTAR ENERGY HUSQVARNA FACTORY RACING) and TOBY PRICE (RED BULL KTM FACTORY TEAM).

Truck: ANDREY KARGINOV / ANDREY MOKEEV / IGOR LEONOV (KAMAZ - MASTER ) won the Dakar 2020 in front of ANTON SHIBALOV / DMITRII NIKITIN / IVAN TATARINOV (KAMAZ - MASTER ) and SIARHEI VIAZOVICH / PAVEL HARANIN / ANTON ZAPAROSHCHANKA (MAZ-SPORTAUTO).

Quad: IGNACIO CASALE (CASALE RACING) won the Dakar 2020 in front of SIMON VITSE (# JE PEUX 2020-BBR MERCIER RACING) and RAFAL SONIK (SONIK TEAM).

SSV: CASEY CURRIE / SEAN BERRIMAN (MONSTER ENERGY CAN-AM) won the Dakar 2020 in front of SERGEI KARIAKIN / ANTON VLASIUK (SNAG RACING TEAM) and FRANCISCO LOPEZ CONTARDO / JUAN PABLO LATRACH VINAGRE (SOUTH RACING CAN-AM).
