In a special For The Record segment, Genius' Head of Artist Relations Rob Markman reflects on the late Mac Miller’s legacy through the release of his first posthumous album, 'Circles.' Mac passed away in September 2018, roughly a month after the release of his album, 'Swimming.'

Rob looked back on his personal friendship with Mac, including realizing his talent in Statik Selektah’s basement and seeing him play the guitar for the first time while covering Biz Markie’s “Just A Friend.” He spoke about how Mac Miller evolved as an artist, saying “Malcom was just fearless.”
