Firefighters in eastern China freed two children stuck in thick mud after they became trapped.

The video, filmed in the city of Zhangjiagang in Jiangsu Province on January 5, shows two boys with their lower bodies submerged in the mud.

14 firemen arrived on-site quickly and put out wooden planks on the mud so they could safely approach the boys.

They then used their bare hands to dig the mud away and poured water inside to make the mud loose before lifting the boys out.

The children were rescued successfully after 20 minutes, according to reports.
