Using foundation's funds for cigars, oven for wife - Man pleads not guilty

Yayasan Pengurusan Ilmu's former board of directors member, Abdul Rahman Mohamed Shariff, claimed trial in the Sessions Court in Kuala Lumpur today to three counts of criminal breach of trust involving RM178,049.

Abdul Rahman pleaded not guilty after the charge was read out to him before judge Azura Alwi today.

Abdul Rahman also heads Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS), which is wholly-owned by the Education Ministry.

EMGS is currently under investigation by both the MACC and the parliamentary Public Accounts Committee (PAC).
