In the Delhi Assembly elections, political parties are ready to bet on Nirbhaya's mother, who is fighting a battle to bring Nirbhaya's culprits to death. All parties are aware that Nirbhaya's mother can prove to be a winning candidate in the election. Therefore, internally, political parties want to capitalize on this opportunity. The leaders of the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party argued that what can be more of a living example of a woman who struggles in the society than a woman who can fight so hard for her daughter.

दिल्ली विधानसभा चुनाव में राजनीतिक पार्टियां निर्भया के गुनहगारों को मौत के तख्ते तक पहुंचाने की जंग लड़ने वाली उसकी मां पर दांव लगाने को तैयार हैं. सभी पार्टियों को अंदाजा है कि निर्भया की मां चुनाव में एक जिताऊ प्रत्याशी साबित हो सकती हैं. इसलिए अंदरूनी तौर पर राजनीतिक पार्टियां इस मौके को भुनाना चाहती हैं. बीजेपी और आम आदमी पार्टी के नेताओं ने तर्क देते हुए बताया कि जो महिला इतनी जद्दोजहद करके अपनी बेटी के लिए न्याय की लड़ाई लड़ सकती है, उससे बढ़ कर समाज में संघर्ष करने वाली महिला का जीता-जागता उदाहरण और क्या हो सकता है.
