On the 38th day of the strike against the government's hotly-contested pensions overhaul, CGT union leader Philippe Martinez believes that "public opinion is still in favour of the movement". Yves Veyrier, leader of FO union, says he is "impatiently awaiting the Prime Minister's letter" as French premier is expected to unveil new proposals. Veyrier also called for "a halt to the legislative process of adopting the bill".
