STYLE speaks to Thierry Chow, a rising feng shui expert, who gives us her predictions for each of the 12 Chinese zodiac signs over the coming year.
Monkey
People under the sign of the monkey are entering a year of Hui Tai Sui (a year of “union”), which signifies a great year filled with union, love and joyful events. 2020 will be when you will find yourself in a good place and position in life. There will be plentiful opportunities in both career and relationships.
Rooster
The rooster may be looking at a troubling year as they will feel the effect of Xing Tai Sui (“year of trouble”). This particular influence will cause an unstable year filled with trouble and uncertainty in career and relationships. Be extra careful with paperwork, as obstacles may arise in the form of delays and complications. Situations are also prone to be confrontational, so find ways to relax and detox the mind.
Dog
Yi Ma Xing (“flying horse star”) will come into the charts for those born in the year of the dog. This is commonly known in Chinese astrology as the “travel star”. This obviously means 2020 will be a year filled with many chances for travel, for work and leisure. The likelihood of moving office or home is also on the horizon.
Pig
Those born under the sign of the pig have gone through a year of Fan Tai Sui (clashes with Tai Sui) in 2019, and will still feel its aftermath going into 2020. But the year will go much smoother with better career opportunities on offer. Take this time to focus on and rebalance the body and mind.
