BJP veteran Murli Manohar Joshi slammed the Jawaharlal Nehru University Vice-Chancellor M Jagadesh Kumar over JNU's fee hike issue. Murli Manohar Joshi took to Twitter and wrote, Reports are that the HRD ministry had twice advised the JNU, VC to implement certain reasonable and working formulae for resolving the issue of enhanced fees in JNU. He was also advised to reach out to its teachers and students. It is shocking that the VC is adamant in not implementing the government proposal. This attitude is deplorable and, in my opinion, such a VC should not be allowed to continue in this post,"

दिल्ली के जेएनयू कैंपस में 5 जनवरी को हुई हिंसा को लेकर बवाल मचा हुआ है. एक तरफ जहां कैंपस के छात्र वीसी को हटाने की मांग कर रहे हैं तो वहीं अब बीजेपी के दिग्गज नेता मुरली मनोहर जोशी ने जेएनयू के वीसी एम. जगदीश कुमार पर बड़ा हमला बोला है. उन्होंने जेएनयू के वाइस चांसलर को पद से हटाने की मांग की है. बीजेपी नेता जोशी ने कहा कि मानव संसाधन विकास मंत्रालय ने दो बार वाइस चांसलर जगदीश कुमार से छात्रों और टीचरों से मिलकर विवाद को सुलझाने को कहा था, लेकिन उन्होंने ऐसा नहीं किया और अड़ियल रवैया अपनाए रखा. उन्होंने कहा कि अब जगदीश कुमार को जेएनयू वाइस चांसलर के पद से हटा देना चाहिए.
