"Congratulations. I, the citizen of India, congratulate the Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the Citizenship Amendment Act. I and my family support the act." A private school in Ahmedabad on Tuesday (January 7) asked students from class five to ten to write these messages to PM Modi. However on Wednesday, the school management apologized after the parents protested. Postcards were also returned to parents. The administration has termed the entire episode as a misunderstanding.

"बधाई हो। मैं, भारत का नागरिक, माननीय प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी को नागरिकता संशोधन कानून के लिए बधाई देता हूं। मैं और मेरा परिवार इस अधिनियम का समर्थन करते हैं।" अहमदाबाद के एक निजी स्कूल ने मंगलवार (7 जनवरी) को पीएम मोदी को ये संदेश लिखने के लिए कक्षा पांच से लेकर दस तक के छात्रों को कहा। हालांकि बुधवार को माता-पिता के विरोध के बाद स्कूल प्रबंधन ने माफी मांगी। माता-पिता को पोस्टकार्ड्स भी लौटा दिया गया।प्रशासन की ओर से इस पूरे प्रकरण को गलतफहमी करार दिया है।
