While addressing an event in Karnataka’s Bengaluru on January 07, the Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu said, “Our children, when they leave the portals of universities, must be enlightened and become responsible citizens. Our campuses mustn't become safe havens for politics of hate and violence to thrive.” “Academic endeavours and co-curricular initiatives must attain primacy in our universities, and not factionalism and divisive tendencies,” VP Naidu added.
