मेरे रोने से दिल तेरा दुखेगा,
मेरा खामोश होना तुझे खुलेगा,
ना पाकर समाने मुझे याद करेगा,
मेरे लौट आने का इंतज़ार करेगा,
रिमझिम फुहारें जलायेंगी तुझे,
बाहरें मेरे बिन ना भायेंगी तुझे,
महफ़िल-ए-शाम में तू तन्हा होगा,
चांदनी मेरे बिन ना भायेगी तुझे,
हर खुशी तेरी मेरे बिना अधूरी होगी,
किसी भी सूरत ना भुला पायेगा मुझे,
हर रात ख़ाब मेरा सताएगा तुझे,
पल जुदाई का सदियों सा नज़र आएगा तुझे,
कोई ना जब तसल्ली दे पाएगा तुझे,
तब मैं लौट आऊंगी उदास देखकर तुझे,
होठों पर खिल जाऊंगी मुस्कान बन के तेरे,
नाज़-ओ-नखरे भरपूर पहले दिखाऊंगी तुझे,
जी लिये ना मेरे बगैर,
ये कहकर गले से लाऊंगी तुझे,
गिले शिकवे भुलाकर सारे,
पलकों में अपनी बसाऊंगी तुझे,
ये सब मेरे गुमान की बातें थीं,
जो कभी ना अब कह पाऊँगी तुझे।
