VLOG 2: Fo Guang Shan Temple Auckland Cherry Blossom Festival - Travel New Zealand

Today I'm visiting the Fo Guang Shan Temple in Auckland, the largest Buddhist temple in New Zealand. Built in the architectural style of the Tang Dynasty, this religious and community center hosts a Cherry Blossom Festival every year in late November. The temple grounds hold over 100 cherry trees, each of them decorated with wishing bells. You don't have to be Buddhist to visit. In fact, it's a beautiful place to come all year long. Away from the noise of the city, you'll always find yourself surrounded by serenity and tranquility. To quote their website: "The Sutra says One recitation of the Buddha’s name will eliminate unwholesome Karma as numerous as the sands in the Ganges rivers." Who couldn't use some of that?
