AIADMK and DMK seeing a close contest in Tamil Nadu local body polls

In Tamil Nadu, the state's local body polls are seeing a neck-and-neck battle between the ruling AIADMK and the DMK. The election was held in two phases and will decide winners for district panchayat wards and the panchayat union. The polls were held on ballot paper and not EVMs. The results will be declared on January 4, reports Jude Sannith.
