World's first 'marine cemetery' opens in Kerala, India

The world's first "Marine Cemetery", made out of single-use plastic bottles, has opened at Beypore Beach in Kerala, India on December 4.

On the gravestones situated on the seashore of Beypore, the photographs of eight endangered species are displayed.

The "Marine Cemetery" aims to spread awareness about the devastating effects of single-use plastic, pollution, and overfishing.
