While President Donald Trump has a tense relationship with NATO allies, he seems to have warmer ties with a number of non-democratic leaders. But a recent survey indicates a large majority of Americans support a traditional U.S. foreign policy based on strong military alliances, free trade and promoting democracy and human rights abroad.
