Congress supporters took out a protest rally against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the proposed National Register of Citizens (NRC) in Mumbai on December 28. A number of demonstrators took part in the protest. Nation-wide protests have intensified after implementation of the new Citizenship Act. CAA gives Indian citizenship to non-Muslim immigrants from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.
