*Lakheraa is a film which subtly weaves in the protagonist’s individual conflict into social conflict. It’s a story about Ravish and the likes of him with unconventional ideologies. Ravish is addressed as Lakheraa,(a synonym of Lafanga or Lame Duck) by the villagers.
The core of the film is layered with father and son relationship surfacing differences on top yet there is deep-rooted unexpressed love for each other.
Set up in the village milieu of today represents the state and inner struggle of youngsters with an unconventional approach towards their own life and upliftment of the village. Lakheraa, every family has one and is struggling to voice out in many Indian villages of mostly U.P & Bihar.
Ravish is one such hope and one such dream representing the educated youth of today, which Indian villages need.
‘Lakheraa’ is a subject which brings forth several contemporary issues prevalent in India in families and social structure, therefore it has the potential of becoming a Web series. A few Episodes are already sketched as an extension of the story. The characters such as Political leader (like Mukhiya/Education Minister) and, Social Workers, Block Development Officers.
A few other characters are also there to create Drama and Dramatic obstacles in Ravish’s Dreams and Goals.
