The date 19 December 1927 is immortal in the pages of Indian history. On this day, the great revolutionary of the country, Ramprasad Bismil was hanged by the British in the jail of Gorakhpur for the historic Kakori incident. Apart from Ramprasad Bismil, Asafaq Ullah Khan, Rajendra Nath Lahiri and Thakur Roshan Singh were also hanged by the British.

19 दिसंबर 1927 की तारीख भारतीय इतिहास के पन्नों में हमेशा के लिए दर्ज है। इसी दिन देश के महान क्रांतिकारी रामप्रसाद बिस्मिल को अंग्रेजों ने ऐतिहासिक काकोरी कांड के लिए गोरखपुर की जेल में फांसी पर चढ़ा दिया था। रामप्रसाद बिस्मिल के अलावा असफाक उल्लाह खां, राजेंद्र नाथ लाहिड़ी और ठाकुर रोशन सिंह को भी अंग्रेजों ने फांसी के फंदे पर लटकाया था। तीनों ने हंसते-हंसते देश की आजादी के लिए फांसी के फंदे को चूम लिया था।
