भाजपा के राष्ट्रीय महासचिव और बंगाल राज्य के प्रभारी कैलाश विजयवर्गीय पर बंगाल में एक रैली के दौरान हमला हुआ। मुर्शिदाबाद में जनसंपर्क के दौरान जब वे नवग्राम के लिए रवाना हो रहे थे, तभी विरोध करने वाली भीड़ ने उनके काफिले को घेर लिया। इस दौरान भीड़ इतनी उग्र हो गई कि विजयवर्गीय को कार से उतारकर सुरक्षाकर्मी सुरक्षित दूसरे स्थान पर ले गए।
