Taiwan investigates claim mainland Chinese officials illegally visited on ‘exchange programmes’

Taiwan prosecutors are investigating a case involving 10 people accused of illegally bringing at least 5,000 mainland Chinese citizens to the island between 2017 and 2019 on “exchange programmes” using allegedly falsified documents reportedly involving at least 20 travel agencies.
