The Citizenship Amendment Bill 2019 will be introduced in the Rajya Sabha today. This bill will be discussed at two in the afternoon. A time of 6 hours has been fixed for discussion. The BJP claims that this bill will be passed with the support of regional parties. If the Citizenship Amendment Bill is also passed by the Rajya Sabha, then it will be able to take the form of law. The big thing is that Shiv Sena's support for the bill in Lok Sabha is not clear for Rajya Sabha.

नागरिकता संशोधन विधेयक 2019 आज राज्यसभा में पेश किया जाएगा। दोपहर दो बजे इस बिल पर चर्चा की जाएगी। चर्चा के लिए 6 घंटे का वक्त तय किया गया है जिसके बाद वोटिंग होगी। मोदी सरकार राज्यसभा में अल्पमत में है लिहाजा उसके लिए ये किसी अग्निपरीक्षा से कम नहीं है। हालांकि बीजेपी का दावा है कि क्षेत्रिय दलों के समर्थन से इस बिल को पास करवा लिया जाएगा। अगर राज्यसभा से भी नागिरकता संशोधन विधेयक पास होता है तो फिर ये कानून का रूप ले सकेगा। बड़ी बात ये है कि लोकसभा में बिल का समर्थन करने वाली शिवसेना का राज्यसभा के लिए रूख साफ नहीं है।
