Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu held to protest against the onion price hike. Other party leaders too joined the protest. Onion prices have skyrocketed across the country. The situation has forced budget hotels to stop the usage of onions. Poor and lower-middle-class citizens are having a tough time in managing their kitchen supplies as the onion prices surpassed Rs 100/kg in several states. However, amidst crisis in the country, fresh loads of onions are being imported from Turkey.
