The BJP stands to lose Karnataka, the only Indian state in the south under their charge, if it fails to win at least 7 out of the 15 seats that voted on 5 December. The exit poll predictions of winning 10 to 12 seats has given BJP a reason to be happy. Having said that, the exit polls have had tough luck in the past few elections.
