Pete Buttigieg Endorsed by Former
Obama Administration Officials.
Three former officials who served
under Barack Obama during his time
in office have announced their support for
presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg. .
The first official, Reggie Love, served as a special
assistant and personal aide during Obama’s first term.
In his statement endorsing
Buttigieg, Love drew parallels
between the 37-year-old
candidate and a younger Obama. .
A lot of what is said about Pete echoes
what critics said about presidential candidate
Barack Obama -- too young, too different,
maybe another time -- but I believe there is never
a better time to fight for change than right now, Reggie Love, via CNN.
Austan Goolsbee, who served under Obama
as the chairman of the Council of Economic
Advisers, also issued a formal endorsement.
It has been awhile since I have seen the
kind of excitement on the ground in Iowa
that Mayor Pete has generated … And the
last time worked out pretty well, Austan Goolsbee, via CNN.
The final endorsement was given by
Linda Douglass, the former director of
communication for Obama’s White
House Office of Health Reform. .
I met Pete a few years ago and admire his
intelligence, wisdom and extraordinary ability to
communicate clearly and powerfully about the
challenges we face today … He is passionate
about public service and about improving the
lives of Americans in every part of the country, Linda Douglass, via CNN
