Visitors in Thailand were flocking to pose for selfies next to the tallest Christmas tree in southeast Asia.

The 115ft (35 metre) tall artificial tree has been installed outside the CentralWorld shopping mall in Bangkok, Thailand.

The square in front of the mall is decorated with red baubles, gold ribbons and bronze fairy lights. Even the tropical palm trees have been wrapped in Christmas lights.

The display also includes an inflatable Santa, an ice-themed happiness tunnel, illuminated snowflakes and giant LCD display playing winter scenes.

Organisers will keep the display open every night until January 6.
