'Star Wars' Actor Billy Dee Williams
Comes out as Non-Binary.
Billy Dee Williams, known best for
his role as Lando Calrissian in 'Star
Wars: The Empire Strikes Back’ recently
opened up about his gender fluidity.
I never tried to be anything
except myself. I think of myself
as a relatively colorful character
who doesn't take himself or
herself too seriously. , Billy Dee Williams, to 'Esquire'.
82-year-old Williams went on
to explain his use of “himself”
and “herself,” saying he identifies
as both masculine and feminine.
And you see I say 'himself' and
'herself,' because I also see myself
as feminine as well as masculine.
I'm a very soft person. I'm not afraid
to show that side of myself, Billy Dee Williams, to 'Esquire'.
He also expressed his excitement towards
Donald Glover’s portrayal of a young Lando in
2018’s ‘Solo,’ calling his gender fluid take “brilliant.”.
Williams will reprise his role as
Lando in ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker,’
which is set to be released on Dec. 20.
